Booking her trial, quite a few months before the big day, and then placing her deposit down booking herself, mother, sister and two bridesmaids in for makeup.
Akila - was without doubt, one of the most organised brides I have ever met, and it was an absolute honour to be her personal Makeup artist for the day.
Akila organised designated slots for each of her family members/bridesmaids when it came to hair and makeup - after I had given her details of how long makeup can take.
It is imperitive that bridal hair and makeup is organised like this, and when it is, the morning/afternoon runs all the more smoothly, leaving no one rushed off their feet.
Being this organised meant that the hair and makeup was executed perfectly - Akila then had her full 90 mins allocated just for her makeup alone.
Akilas Wedding morning was a shining example of just how fabulous it should be for the bride. After her thorough organising - no ones Hair, nor Makeup was rushed, hence - everyone looked perfect and everyone was happy!
After Akilas hair was done and her bridesmaids helped her into her clothes and arranged her jewellery - she had an extra 20 mins for her photographer to take some gorgeous photographs.
After working for 12 years in makeup - I have seen more Wedding mornings than the average person!
Akila was a classic example of a bride who understood the importance of allocating, adequate time for hair and makeup.
Time must be allocated for the makeup/hair stylists to unpack their kit, and also discuss looks with each person.
Extra Time also must be allocated for small disruptions as the busy Wedding morning is in full swing.
A makeup artists, full kit - can easily take upto 15 mins to pack/arrange/unpack.
Who wants to be rushed off their feet, and recieve a rushed hair and makeup before thier big day? You want to arrive at your venue, cool, calm and serene. And it goes without saying, looking flawless!
Here is Akila looking just fabulous - the outfit and jewellery, alone took a good 30 mins or more to arrange!
Akila opted for a classic soft neutral eye, with a nice bold, black eyeliner and a classic red lip.
